Some people are just plain & simple a pain to deal with. If you are allowed to view the site, then you could re-register. This way it avoids banning the same person under a different name.

One thing we need to remember here folks is that these sites are not pay sites. Not to mention the lible law suits coming out of the woodwork from blogs and message boards is making it very difficult for the common fan to justify the risk of moderating/operating such a site. The NOOF has many many users and seriously as much as I would love to see an OHL team return to the Bay you guys (again generalizing, sorry) got really annoying after a while (as did the Cornwall fans). It was one topic that got multiplied over & over. Choose your battles when dealing with a free site. You can’t always get your way unless you own it. Even RR does his own form of censorship… it’s his blog.

Its not that they don’t support it’s just that fans from Cornwall and North Bay bog down the bandwidth and the site is paid for by the people on it and some advertisers. If (I am generalizing sorry) the fans being mentioned didn’t turn everything into a North Bay debate, their wouldn’t be a problem. It’s like the London fans a couple years back. If the topics don’t progress and just keep spinning wheels then the mods start trying to stop the clutter.

Yes I agree with you Heidi……I learned the hard way, I’ve already been banned
and fought with them too much, now they blocked my IP address and I can’t eve get on the sight, well at least from work anyway. The 3 moderators are all from Sudbury, and they don’t really have much support for North Bay, unlike most Sudbury fans who want to see a franchise back here.

greatger – agree with about the noof – it is a large forum with many posters, but each post is closely monitored for any content that goes against their guidelines – one slip and you’re banned permanently. Aside from that, it is a good source of ohl-related info & scoops, though mention “North Bay” too often & you’re out. They’ve got this thing about NB posters being too eager to hear about a team coming back.
