Just a couple Sault-related things for you that I picked up this morning on the web.
Found a Youtube video on the blog of an Arizona airport. If you ever wondered what it looked like to land a float-plane on the St. Mary’s River, this should help a bit.
Don’t seem to be able to embed the video here for some reason, so I’m afraid the link is about as good as it gets for now.
I also noticed that the ‘empty glass 4 water’ blog [edited to correct name] picked up one of my stories from the Chiefs of Ontario annual conference. There isn’t an awful lot on this blog at the moment, but it appears to be linked to a campaign, partly spearheaded by Batchewana First Nation, to send empty drinking glasses to the prime minister to highlight water issues for First Nations (It’s mentioned near the bottom of this story of mine). I saw one of the glasses at the conference, and I’m thinking now that I should have snapped a photo of it. Would have gone nicely right here.
This post reminds me that there are a ton of Sault-related blogs going on out there. Expect an upcoming post talking about that.
That’s all for today (I think). But if you liked this, you’re in luck because there’s going to be more eventually, so check back on the Michael Purvis blog to see what I’m working on. Not following me on Twitter yet? Do it. And keep up with what the Sault Star is doing by following the paper’s tweets.
PS: If you’re reading this, post a comment below and let me know what you think, ask a question, or tell me to stuff it. Don’t worry, I can take it.

The Soo is a great place to visit. We had a fine time, with the photos to prove it!
