A complete waste of time

michaelpurvis - July 15th, 2009

Ring! Please, ring!Sometimes there are days as a reporter when nobody you try to reach is available. And I mean NOBODY. Just not around. Gone fishin’. Out to lunch.

On those days, you try to be productive the best way you know how.

This is one of those days. Plus, it’s raining like crazy, so here’s a list of places on the web you might want to visit if you’ve REALLY got nothing AT ALL to do.

In case you’re not sure: www.ismichaeljacksonstillalive.com (thanks to mike360 for Tweeting the link a few minutes ago)

Can’t recall how, but I stumbled on this one just the other day: tvtropes.org

Just about everyone has seen this one, but what the heck: www.snopes.com

Somehow, for about the last seven years, I forgot this existed: www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2

And if you prefer to waste your time via Twitter (who doesn’t?) check out these guys (or should I say ‘not’ these guys): Not Peter Mansbridge Not Steve Harper For more of this sort of thing, try this site.

OK, that’s it for now.

P.S.: I just signed up for Facebook, officially, so please be my friend.

If you liked this, you’re in luck because there’s going to be more, so check back on the Michael Purvis blog to see what I’m working on. Not following me on Twitter yet? Do it. And keep up with what the Sault Star is doing by following the paper’s tweets.

I probably should have predicted this. No sooner had I posted this entry than I got about 100 pages of info faxed to me and the phone started ringing.
    Later. . .
